Walking Paws Rehab was established by Dr. Danyel Wynn in 2016. Dr. Wynn had the unique experience of working onsite at the OrthoPets headquarters learning directly from the team. This allowed her to gain expert insight into patient suitability for different types of orthotics, fitting and assisting patients in devices, and performing adjustments. Dr. Wynn and the team at Walking Paws have a wonderful working relationship with OrthoPets and are proud of the amazing service provided to their patients because of this.
Since its early days, the Walking Paws team has grown to a large team of veterinarians, physical therapists, veterinary physiotherapists, and certified massage therapists. Their team members are Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapists and have advanced their skills in orthotics and prosthetics. Everyone in the practice brings their unique experiences and knowledge to each patient. These areas of expertise include acupuncture, hydrotherapy, diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, fear free handling techniques, pain management, canine massage, wheelchair fittings, as well as OrthoPets prosthetics and orthotics.
Walking Paws has successfully rehabilitated many patients in orthotics and prosthetics over the years, including patients with cruciate ligament injuries, carpal hyperextension injuries, achilles tears, and amputations. The doctors at Walking Paws Rehab have helped some of the most severe and complicated injuries walk again with the help of OrthoPet devices.
