Djembe and Her OrthoPets Stifle Device (Dog Knee Brace)

Djembe is a 11-year-old, FS, Malamute from Alaska. She was diagnosed with a CCL (ACL) tear and started rehabilitation in November 2020. Djembe is a very active dog who loves to go on long walks with her owners.

OrthoPets fabricated a standard stifle device (dog knee brace) with a tarsal cuff (ankle cuff) for added suspension. The standard stifle will help stabilize the stifle joint and prevent tibial thrust.

Djembe’s Veterinarian’s goal for the stifle orthotic is to provide better comfort and mobility for Djembe.

Djembe was fitted for her stifle orthotic in January 2021 and has been doing great since. She looks super fancy in the snow with her tornado pattern on her stifle device.
